Sacraments at St. Bridget
Sacraments at Saint Bridget
Sacraments, those rites performed to praise God and convey His good grace to the recipient, are an integral part of Catholic life, and they serve as important milestones on our spiritual journeys. Saint Bridget strives to nurture the spiritual journeys of all its parishioners as they prepare for and celebrate the different sacraments.

Sacraments of Initiation

Baptism

This Sacrament of Initiation celebrates the important and joyous events of rebirth in Christ as a son or daughter of God and of initiation into the Christian community. During preparation sessions, Saint Bridget supports parents as they commit to a lifelong sharing of faith with their children. Attendance at a Baptism Preparation class is a prerequisite for baptism. Baptisms at Saint Bridget are celebrated at Sunday Masses or at a Baptismal Liturgy of the Word on Sunday afternoons. If you would like to inquire about baptism at Saint Bridget, contact Pastoral Assistant Julie Koury. If you or your child is over the age of seven and wishes to prepare for the sacrament of Baptism,  there is a special Rite of the Church called the Rite of Christian Initiation that guides this process.  For more information contact Teresa Lee.
