We are called to love and serve others.
“If I washed your feet — I who am Teacher and Lord — then you must wash each other’s feet.”
— John 13:14
When Jesus washed the feet of His disciples, He gave us an example of service to follow. Through serving others, we come to know ourselves and our God. Service helps us overcome our inclination to selfishness and grow in our relationship with God. Active service involvement is one way to follow Jesus’ example, and is a powerful way to grow in our spirituality.
