A New Ministry for Saint Bridget Catholic Church
Our conference includes members from both Saint Bridget and Holy Rosary parishes. We meet at 7:00 the first Monday of each month here at Saint Bridget and the third Monday of each month at Saint Elizabeth (2712 2nd Avenue, Richmond).
The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is now a new Ministry of Saint Bridget Catholic Church. We welcome all Parishioners and Visitors; those who are interested in joining this ministry, those with talents, professional skills and interests who can provide a few hours a year, and those who would like to learn more about this new ministry. May you take some time to reflect in you heart, God’s calling to you to serve those in need through The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, and how this ministry puts into action our new Parish Values.
About the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul
The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is an international organization founded in 1833 by a young student, Frederic Ozanam. The Society was founded in the United State in 1845 and is located in 149 countries. The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is a Catholic lay organization that helps those in need or those living in poverty within our immediate Parish community. Today, the need to serve those who are living in poverty is great. We grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to people in need whom we serve. Because we see “the face of Christ” in those we serve as Jesus taught us when he said, “whatever you do to the least of my brothers and sisters you do to me.”
Our Conference is starting off with a very small group of dedicated women and men who are inviting you to consider joining us and making a difference. Not only will you be helping those in need but you will also find yourself growing in God’s love and the desire to share that love with others.
We look forward to introducing you to our Ministry of serving God and by doing so growing in His love.
