August Food Drive!

Please join us on Saturday, August 26th between 8:30am and 11:00am for a food drive which will benefit the Sacred Heart Center. Items needed: corn flour, tortillas, dried or canned beans, rice, baby formula, snacks for small children, canned vegetables, sugar, tuna/canned chikcen, canned fruit, powdered milk, cereal, crackers, peanut butter, tea and coffee, cooking oils, spaghetti and tomato sauce. Other items such as personal care products, diapers (sizes five or six preferred), latex gloves, lysol and clorox wipes, pet food, and paper or plastic bags / cardboard boes to help distribute food are much appreciated! ...

Theater and Theology - Fatima

First Friday’s Movie Night - Theatre and Theology will be showing Fatima on  September 1st at 7pm in the Saint Bridget Middle School. In the midst of World War l, three Portuguese shepherd children experience visitations by the Virgin Mary. Against the backdrop of disbelief, local and religious authorities try to get them to recant their story.  The film is rated PG13, there will be brief discussions afterwards.  The doors open at 6:45pm.

We will begin a Novena for the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary on August 6th.  A Novena is nine days of prayer for special need or intention. The Assumption is an important feast in the Church. It instructs us on one of the important Marian Dogmas and it is an important feast to honor the Blessed Virgin. The Solemnity of the Assumption of Mary is celebrated every year on August 15th. This feast commemorates the assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, body and soul, into Heaven. Saint Peter's Door Ministry

Saint Peter's Door Ministry Feeds the Poor One Tuesday each month, a group of St. Bridget’s parishioners meet at St. Peter's on Grace Street to prepare and serve a meal to the poor. This ministry has been an important part of St. Peter's social outreach programs for many years and we're desperately in need of more volunteers to keep it thriving.
