Social Ministry Resources
St. Bridget's works to provide ample opportunities for parishioners to become involved with Social Ministry! Thanks to the support of our parishioners, we are well connected to several social service agencies within our area, providing us with a variety of different volunteer opportunities within our parish!
Here you will find various resources that we hope will encourage you to go out and live the gospel! Rooted in themes of Catholic Social Teaching, we hope to educate, motivate, and inspire a culture of care and concern for the most vulnerable within and around our parish.
For more information, please email Jeannie Grumblatt at email@example.com.
"And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself." (Matthew 22:37-39)
Catholic Social Teaching 101
A verse in the Gospel of Mark captures the persona of Walter Sullivan, the late bishop of Richmond, Virginia:
“You do not regard a person’s status but teach the way of God in accordance with the truth.” (Mark 12:14)
