Virtus and Safe Environment Training
The Diocese of Richmond requires that all volunteers who work with children under the age of 18 and/or vulnerable adults, be screened and trained according to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishop's Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People. The Diocese of Richmond requires both of the following programs to be completed prior to beginning your ministry:
- Screening One Background Check
- VIRTUS Safe Environment Training program
- A one-time, three-hour training program.
- Includes periodic online training bulletins for ongoing education.
