February 13, 2015 at 7:30 pm - VCU Artistic Ambassadors to Colombia, VCU’s Brass Quintet, will visit Cartagena in the Spring. Dr. Ross Walter has a long association with Fundacion Tocando Puertas: Para Abrir Futuros (Knocking on Doors to Open Futures).  The foundation’s central effort is to help young Colombian musicians gain access to resources, equipment, teaching, and international experiences when possible.  This concert will feature a quintet of VCU brass students who will visit Colombia at the end of this academic year.  They are raising their own funds.  Friends of Music will stipend ...
