Suicide Intervention Workshop

Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is a two-day interactive workshop on suicide first-aid. ASIST teaches participants to recognize when someone may be at risk of suicide and work with them to create a plan that will support their immedate safety. Although ASIST is widely used by healthcare providers, participants don't need any formal traning to attend the workshop. Haiti Special Collection

On August 16th, a 7.2 earthquake in Haiti caused widespread destruction and a tragic loss of life. Tropical Storm Grace that followed right after the earthquake compounded the problems the people of Haiti are facing by hampering relief and rescue efforts. Saint Bridget will join parishes in the Diocese to make a special appeal for a collection during the weekend of August 28-29.
